DKW ART GALLERY IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO BUILD YOUR ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT

Teen Art Classes

Class times are at 7 PM only. You must talk to us first before enrolling.

Our teen classes meet for 1 hour and each student works on the items they wish. We have some students younger than 13 in the class so contact us for more information. Sessions are $18 each and paid for one month, in advance, at a time. Enrollment is for either Tuesday night or Thursday night.

Parents may pay for the class below but ONLY after speaking with us before.

The Healing Canvas

The Healing Canvas provides a supportive place for teens aged 13-17 to explore their emotions, build social skills, and develop healthy coping strategies - all through creative expression. Guided by a licensed therapist and local artist, Deb Weiser, participants will engage in art activities designed to encourage self-reflection, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions. No artistic experience is needed - just a willingness to express yourself and grow in a safe, judgement-free environment!

What Makes Deb's Art Classes Different?

When you take a class from Deb, you will learn the techniques to make you a knowledgeable artist. You will learn color blending, light, form and even tips and little known methods of achieving fantastic results in whatever media you choose. What you won't learn is Deb's style. She wants you to have your own style. Not hers or Bob Ross' or even Monet's, but your own. You'll make the decision to develop whatever characteristics you wish because you will have the understanding necessary to become a better artist. One on One is for age SIX and up. Kids thru adults.

With our help, you can advance to a level you never thought possible. Sessions are usually one-hour and are aimed at the specific area of learning you request. ART FOR TEAM BUILDING

USE ART TO BUILD A STRONG TEAM

Team Builder

DKW will have your team create a beautiful artwork through group team-work and collaboration. You'll start with a basic art lesson, then each team will work together to craft something unique; each member learning how their input is used to create a finished artistic piece to be proud of and displayed!

If your group is the dynamic type, then putting paint and brushes in front of them with a large canvas will get their creative juices flowing. Color, style, design and direction will all be important as part of the team-work.


But even if you work group is more reserved, DKW Art Gallery has a solution:

A variation for your Team Building. So often when "team building" is mentioned there is a collective groan heard. But taking a tour of an art gallery is a unique and skill building method to draw people of all ages, regardless of athletic prowess to share something new together. Participants are pleased to find that they have gained new perspective and deeper insight into art, themselves, and their colleagues.

Home Schooling Art Classes

We are not your normal "art gallery" in so many ways. One way is our outstanding Purple Giraffe art instruction. We have taken the popular STEM program and added Art to create S.T.E.A.M.! Whether it is a 4-year-old or a high school student, the topic will be much broader than "Today we will paint a flower."
Incorporated in the class is art history, techniques, or styles, use of different mediums and maybe even some math, science, or more snuck in. But the best part of the instruction is the FUN. Laughter, excitement, and the joy of learning are absorbed by the student.
Two quite common statements are heard here constantly. "I didn't know I could do that!" and, "I didn't know he/she could sit still long enough to create such a beautiful piece!"
