Learning to paint like an old master. Part Three - You did not have to take the first two parts. This is a stand alone class using acrylics. This class will work with Tone on Tone.

Discover the beauty of painting with a single color in this tone-on-tone class. Students will learn how to mix white into their chosen color to create a range of values, from deep, rich shadows to soft, luminous highlights. Inspired by classical portraiture, by Leonardo da Vinci, we will explore how subtle changes in tone can bring a subject to life without relying on a wide variety of colors. Through layering, blending, and thoughtful brushwork, students will learn to create dimension, texture, and the illusion of light and shadow.

This class is perfect for artists who want to strengthen their understanding of value, improve their shading techniques, and discover how something as simple as adding mixing white can transform a painting into a beautiful, expressive work of art.

We want to stress that you do not have to be a master at painting. The techniques learned can be applied to many forms of art style and your education learned is retained as you gain skill and confidence.

Supplies Needed:

• Need three canvas boards any size, 
• acrylic brushes 
• Mixing white paint (Transparent Mixing White 4oz is probably enough)

Classes start Wed. Nov 4th, 11th, 18th AND DEC 16th. 6PM to 8PM. NO make-ups can be given.
